Junior has been involved with steel pan music since school days in London and Marcella became involved after marriage.

Junior knows how infectious the sound is to people and as a couple they believed that such a vibrant and exciting unique instrument would be enjoyed by children of all ages and abilities.

Irie Steelpan Workshops is both educational and entertaining.

Our workshops give the children an opportunity to experience live music, have a go, dance, learn about the history and how the steel pans are made and played . We use picture illustrations , tools, and a chance for children to ask us questions (depending on age and ability)

Our workshops have proved popular because the music allows the children to express themselves but more importantly it teaches them something about another musical culture and its history.

The workshops are also ideal for Art Weeks, children who are learning about Pitch in Music and also for children learning about Sound and Vibration in a Science Lesson.

The workshops can be booked has a half day (am or pm) or a Full school day.

NO AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS.
